Be Passionate or Hate, Get Fitness will be Your Life Guidance.

It's almost inevitable that you've browsed through the sweaty workout photos of a friend, colleague or classmate, only to find out they're starting a very new sport after you ask.

CrossFit became a super popular workout a few years ago when boxing gyms started popping up across the country and around the world. More than 13,000 affiliated gym members train in CrossFit in 120 countries. In the United States alone, more than 7,000 gyms offer the program. There are approximately 4 million CrossFitters, and its members are so dedicated to this competitive approach to Fitness that the movement could become a community revolution.

But when you're first introduced to the program, you don't know if this thing is for you. Before you jump into the "box" (ahem, that's what CrossFit calls a gym), here's what you need to know about the workout craze - and how to determine if it's right for you and if you need to seek professional help.

What is Crossfit?

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program incorporating functional movement carried out at a high-intensity level and is a type of high-intensity interval training.

These movements include those you do daily, such as squatting, tugging, pushing, etc. Several exercises that assist in growing muscles include variants of squats, push-ups, and weight lifting that endure for set periods. This is different from a typical exercise, which could specify how many reps to perform over any time.

According to CrossFit Journal, the workouts' emphasis on load, distance, and pace, which aid in developing healthy levels of power, is one reason they are so successful. To do this, the workout may use many tools, such as kettlebells, rowers, cycles, medicine balls, speed ropes, rings, and plyo boxes.

Benefits of Crossfit

1. Burn Fat

According to the literature, CrossFit workouts are one of the most effective ways to burn fat. CrossFit training is intense, and unlike aerobic and anaerobic exercises in the traditional sense, CrossFit exercises are performed in rapid succession, usually to beat the clock to push your physical limits. Only after you reach your target reps or times can you take a break and then try something new and equally challenging. This training method is more goal-oriented and gives people a better awareness of their limits and how to push them than traditional Fitness.

High-intensity workouts like CrossFit have been scientifically proven to significantly increase the body's fat-burning rate by increasing the metabolic response and utilizing stored Fat. More importantly, HIIT workouts like CrossFit can increase EPOC levels for hours after a workout.

The excess oxygen consumption levels coincide with the accumulation of lactic acid left behind after a workout. You just worked your butt off, and now your body must work to restore blood oxygen levels. This means your body's calories are still burned for several hours after exercise.

Another great way to burn fat and supplement your CrossFit workout is using a mental girdle. This unique waistband has been shown to increase blood flow to the core, supporting the use of stored fat as your training burns.

Build Muscle and Strength

As lean muscular tissue promotes greater calorie burning, it is crucial for weight management. In other words, you'll burn more calories at rest the more muscle you have.

CrossFit exercises leave you feeling worn out. You may do exercises with body weight or a barbell, but if you stick to CrossFit exercises, you will gain muscle. Throughout the first several months, most beginners will simultaneously gain muscle and burn Fat.

Crossfit VS. Powerlift

Powerlifting boosts bone density, which slows the effects of aging and lowers the risk of osteoporosis. Other sports like football, boxing, discus, and wrestling can benefit from powerlifting as well.

On the other side, CrossFit is a high-intensity style of exercise that includes, to mention a few, weightlifting, strength training, endurance, speed, flexibility, and power.

The advantages of CrossFit include boosting physical fitness and health as well as raising your maximal quantity of oxygen consumption throughout a workout. Moreover, CrossFit burns more calories during recuperation than powerlifting.

Powerlifting promotes higher muscle lifespan for long-term health. The more frequently you lift weights, the more your tendons, ligaments, and muscles will adapt to it, helping you acquire strength more rapidly while also preventing muscular deterioration as you age.

CrossFit is regarded as a high-intensity workout that combines endurance with a combination of strength training, whereas powerlifting is an excellent workout for strength training.

Better Efficiency to Reach Your Goal

CrossFit is one of the best ways to achieve your weight loss and muscle-building goals because it will show different results every time you work out, you will slowly gather fellow athletes around you, and most importantly, working out alone can be lonely but when you have a group, the enthusiasm of everyone will sustain your will.

In this case, you can better achieve the goals you set for yourself or beyond yourself.
